These terms apply to all services provided by Mevrouw Bussink, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 34303610, VAT number NL001387074B16, hereinafter "I" or "me". By commissioning a consultation or any other service, the client accepts these terms.

1. Services. Services include rough cut consultations, story editing, script coaching, teaching, lectures and jury work. What is included in a given assignment is set out in the written quotation or confirmation, which takes precedence over any general description on this website.

2. Quotations and agreement. Quotations are valid for thirty days unless stated otherwise. An agreement comes into being once the client confirms a quotation in writing, including by email.

​

3. Fees and VAT. All fees are stated excluding VAT unless indicated otherwise. Dutch VAT is charged where applicable. For clients established in another EU member state with a valid VAT number, VAT is reverse charged.

4. Payment. Invoices are payable within fourteen days of the invoice date. For assignments above one thousand euros I may invoice fifty percent in advance. If payment is not received on time, statutory commercial interest and reasonable collection costs may be charged.

5. Delivery and timing. Stated turnaround times, such as viewing a cut within ten working days or delivering a written report within five working days, apply from the moment I have received the material and any agreed advance payment. Timings around a specific deadline can be agreed in advance in writing.

6. Materials. The client is responsible for supplying viewable material and for holding the necessary rights to it. Screener links should remain active for the agreed period.

​

7. Rescheduling and cancellation. A scheduled session can be rescheduled free of charge up to forty-eight hours beforehand. Within forty-eight hours, or in case of no-show, the session is charged in full. If the client cancels an assignment after it has begun, work already carried out is charged on a pro rata basis. A trajectory of three consultations remains valid for eighteen months from the date of the first session.

8. Confidentiality. All material, information and conversations shared with me are treated as confidential and are not disclosed to third parties. Material is stored securely and deleted on request after completion of the assignment. I am happy to sign a client's non-disclosure agreement where required.

9. Nature of the advice. Consultations and written reports are advisory. All creative and editorial decisions remain entirely with the director, editor and producer. No result, festival selection, funding decision or other outcome is guaranteed.

10. Intellectual property. The client retains all rights to their film and material. The written report is intended for use by the client's team on the project concerned and is not for publication or distribution beyond it. I retain the right to name the project and my role in it in my portfolio and CV once the film has been made public, unless agreed otherwise in writing.

11. Liability. My liability is limited to the amount invoiced for the assignment concerned, and in any case to the amount paid out under my professional liability insurance. Liability for indirect or consequential loss is excluded.

12. Applicable law. Dutch law applies. Disputes are submitted to the competent court in the district of Noord-Holland, without prejudice to the right to seek an amicable resolution first.
